I gave the player two extra skills: Reload and Block. These skills are to exemplify player expression. Reload is for players who like shooters while Block is for players who like combat/melee style of play. I put a miniscule amount of fighting game mechanics so I can call this a Beatem'shmup.
I didn't get to show the story so I'll explain it a bit for those interested. As Tier Kazama walked home from school , a rush of terror washed over him when a strange, imposing dungeon materializes around him out of nowhere. With his telekinetic abilities, Tier has faced many problems, but this felt unnatural. The dungeon seemed alive, its presence was unsettling , and it greeted him with a sinister grin. The voice that echoed throughout the chamber explains it has come to feast on his power. But there was a twisted offer: defeat the other prisoners trapped within its walls, and he could escape. The question was, could he survive long enough to make it out?
Only Boss is Kitsune. The dungeon is an indirect boss depicted as a timer.
Also, this is the first twin stick shooter I have developed so any feedback is appreciated.
