Made for Biga Game Jam V.2 where the theme was rivalry + mystery companion. In this 2.5D Fighting Game Prototype, the rivalry takes place between a student and his master during a meeting some time before a big tournament. Blends a little bit of a few 2D and 2.5D fighting games.
I made the mystery companion a support system called Inner Voice, which helps the player change tactics mid fight. Though, I don't think I explained the mechanics well enough in tutorial. Each skill is activated by attack input or block input depending on what skill move is equipped with the exception to force charge. Force charge charges attack inputs by holding down the attack input. Motion Input skill does nothing.
I apologize for the tutorial hell, saved data was saved to an improper location on this build. Using mouse clicks can help you breeze through the lengthy text.
There are many bugs and many things left undone.
Restart entering tutorial =Escape
Restart exiting tutorial = Backspace( Does not exit)
Restart = P
I got to implement one motion input for Rhassoul character- QuaterCircle 236(Down+DownForward+Forward). Buffer may be to fast.
Single Multiplayer - light reactive ai, more so a trainer
Local Multiplayer- activates once both players hit attack buttons
Controls
Rhassoul the Fool (Left Character)
Movement/Directional Input = WASD Key
Attack = Space Bar Key
Block = CAPSLOCK Key
Chaga the Katana (Right Character)
Movement/Directional Input = Arrow Keys or 8456 on Key Pad
Attack = Enter Key or 0 on Key Pad
Block = Right Control Key or + on Key Pad
